Advisory

Four ways I engage

Most relationships begin with the execution review. It is the cheapest way to find out whether there is a problem worth my involvement.

6 weeks · fixed fee

Strategy Execution Review

An independent assessment of whether your organisation is structurally capable of delivering the strategy it has approved. Delivered as a written report to the CEO or board.

  • Interviews across two levels below the executive team
  • Review of incentives against stated priorities
  • Decision-flow and governance mapping
  • Written findings, presented to the board

Executive Counsel

A standing relationship with a chief executive. Fortnightly sessions, plus availability for the decisions that will not wait for the next scheduled call.

  • Fortnightly two-hour sessions
  • Direct access between sessions
  • Pre-board preparation
  • Confidential and unattributed throughout
8 weeks · fixed fee

Board Effectiveness

A candid review of how the board actually functions: what it discusses, what it avoids, and whether it is governing or managing.

  • Observation of two full board meetings
  • Confidential interview with each director
  • Agenda and information-flow analysis
  • Findings presented to the chair first

Leadership Transition

Support for an incoming chief executive through the period where the cost of a misjudgement is highest and the information is worst.

  • Structured organisational assessment before acting
  • Weekly sessions through the first quarter
  • Executive team evaluation support
  • Board relationship counsel

Fees are quoted per engagement following an initial conversation. I do not quote before understanding the problem, and I will decline work where I do not believe I would add value.
